Chi Omega Make-A-Wish

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members. Over the past biennium, Chi Omegas have organized and sponsored successful events through volunteer and fund-raising projects that have raised both financial support and public awareness of this important cause. Since the beginning of the alliance, Chi Omega has raised over $30 million and donated over 1.4 million hours to the Foundation. Since 2002, Chi Omega Fraternity has raised enough money for Make-A-Wish to grant over 890 wishes to children with critical illnesses.

Eta Kappa has establised a Wish Week, where an entire week is devoted to raising money for Make-A-Wish and raising awareness about the organization. Eta Kappa has two major events during the year to fundraise: Spaghetti Dinner in the spring and ChiHOP in the fall. The sisters open their house all day to ticket buyers for all-you-can-eat spaghetti and pancakes. Their chapter has donated over 9,000 hours and almost $165,000 to Make-A-Wish.

Community Service

Sisters never mind giving up time to help someone else out. They are constantly doing community service work to make life easier for someone else. Whether it be Greek Service Day, making dog toys for a shelter, a blood drive or an Engineers Without Borders trip to Bolivia, sisters are always willing to get their hands a little dirty if it means helping someone else and spending time with one another.
